 Hi Sue,
       Sorry for the delay in replying. Was a little busy. I'm glad you liked the portrait and will convey your appreciation to the daughter. Thanks for dropping by. Now that you've reached home, hopefully you can be more regular:-}

Hi Rajeev.....
I don't know, I am against wars of any sort because they simply don't make sense to me. But  we have leaders that decide what is right and what is wrong and we have to go along with it. Thanks for dropping by. As for your query, maybe you can write a blog about it and there could be a discussion on it. For it is a sensible question.

That was a most beautiful, touching tribute to the slain soldier. Please convey my admiration and appreciation to your daughter for that wonderful portrait.

Regards,

Sue

Hi Goodcritic,
    Heroes can never be forgotten. Our hearts will not let them. But the world is full of such heroes. Therefore it just needs a revival of sorts in every small little community to try and remember them. And if they unsung ones, all the more reason to highlight them. Thanks for dropping by:-}

Sampath.....
I guess the headiness is okay but donno about the addiction. It is nice to recall them once in a way but if we begin to live in the past that again is a sign of illness. I have seen so many people not wanting to let go of memories. Such persons can never move forward. Will congratulate the artist. Thanks a ton for dropping by:-}

Visoumouliji....you are right. Although it is easier to blame the media sometimes even we are at fault. Take the public for instance- they much rather prefer to know which temple Ash and Abhishek went to and what is the outcome than who received the bravery awards. Thanks for the warm words and thanks for dropping by:-}

Kudos to your daughter and you nargis! Yes heroes should n't be forgotten but they should be treasured and be kept alive by trying to follow atleast some of their principles.

A great tribute!!

Memories give you the heady feeling
like the wine in the spirit
Memories get addicted
like wine with repeated recalls.

that you could rememeber and write this is great
and of course congradulate the artist for a wonderful job well done.

My Dear Nargisji,

I am really thanking God to write about our warriors who lost their lives for the sake of our nation, for the sake of their own countrymen brothers, sisters, sons and daughters of this soil.  But these poor people do not have followers who will forget their own mother, brother sister who else his/her own wife kids etc., only for the thalaivar (Leader) and pour milk on the cut outs, spend on cut outs to those who mint money out of these fools.  But the real warriors who lost their lives for the sake of us cannot be remembered as no media in India can also brave enough to write about these people.  They have got enought time about the celebration of birthday of Aiswarya Roy, or other actress etc.

Saluting you and Ms.Gayatri Devi  for bringing about the sacrifices of our own brothers

Hi Dev,
   You are right and it is at times like this that I wonder about the futility of wars. I also wonder about the posthumous awards to these young men. I really don't know how much it would mean to the family. But these feelings are debatable as is the topic...thanks for dropping by:-}
