This indeed is a rather longish short story....You come back with a vengeance eh? Looks like you are trying to make up for all those days you were missing...:-} I loved that measuring of honour trait of the Menons....hahahaha! 'otherwise he is a nice guy'. The Wait Continues… [ii]
Hey, Shantaram is what took place in our neighbourhood.....(when we were in mumbai) I remember everytime we walked in the colaba causeway my son, who had read the book, would point out things and places and quote from it. Haven't read it cos like I said I do very little reading (moreover the size of the book scares me) but am eagerly waiting for the movie. Johnny Depp is one great actor. And btw...why is it that every memoir I name has been cooked up? I'm so disappointed with these writers

Goodness gracious BigMo, your'e still waiting? Anywayz, this is in reply to the comment in your earlier blog. Actually everything was and still is a hazy blur and therefore no elaborations. Continue to remain flummoxed But I'm glad you held your memoirs back. A sneak peak is okay but no point in unraveling the entire mystery of what might one day become a bestseller.....(there's no rule against dreaming, right?
) But whatever little I read it sounded very promising:-} And such stuff deserves to be unravelled to the world in a more compact format rather than blogged about in an open forum. I read very little but somehow managed to get hold of a beautiful memoir by James Frey...I think it was called 'A million little pieces'. Check it out. That was also truly amazing. Btw...it was indeed lovely talking to you:-}

'Kunwara Baap'.....Baap re Baap! Yeah, sure now I'm confident this city has some oxymoronic implications. Btw...I'm just wondering.....(especially since you are one of those that have the knack of giving us a bedroom tour with elan) what kind of a title you'd have chosen for your book:-} 'I sincerely hope this book to be a success'....I sincerly hope so too...hehehe but on a more sentimental note, I'd rather my first book had been a success. This one doesn't really matter.

Dimboy............you really seem to have done your homework- in history, in geography and in moral science:-} . Can you imagine a world inhabited by these exploited children? I guess I can. It would be something like a Scarlet Revolution. As if we don't have enough of blood already flowing. As for the dignity of labour! .....Now that I feel should qualify as a blog by itself.
